Account & data deletion

Actify is built so you stay in control. You can delete your account and the personal data we hold for that account whenever you choose. Deletion is consistent with our overall approach: your training and nutrition story belongs to you—not to an opaque data broker.

What we delete

When you complete account deletion through the app (authenticated request), our systems remove data tied to your user id, including non-exhaustively:

  • Account record and profile fields (including encrypted profile data)
  • Optional profile photo from our image host
  • Active weekly plans and generated plan history we store for you
  • Workout sessions and related logs
  • Meal and nutrition logs
  • Daily tracking logs and derived progress records
  • Gamification state (scores, streaks, XP, achievements) stored server-side
  • The linked Firebase Authentication user, so you cannot sign in with the same credentials without signing up again

Apple Health and Health Connect data that was written to Apple or Google systems remains under your control there—we do not delete your device or platform health history on your behalf.

How to delete

In the app (recommended)

  1. Open Actify and sign in
  2. Go to the Profile tab
  3. Scroll to Delete Account
  4. Confirm when prompted

This calls our secure delete endpoint while you are authenticated, so we can verify the request.

By email

If you cannot use the app, email support@actify.fit from the address on your account with the subject Account deletion request. We may ask for reasonable verification before processing.

Timing

  • In-app deletion: Your session ends immediately; backend data is removed as part of the delete operation. Propagation across backups and caches may take a short additional period.
  • Email requests: We aim to confirm within a few business days and complete verified deletion without undue delay.

After deletion

  • You will be signed out on all devices
  • Recovery of the same account data is not offered
  • Subscriptions: Deleting the app or account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription—cancel in Settings → Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play → Subscriptions (Android) if you do not want renewal
  • You may create a new account later; previous data will not return

What we may retain

We may retain:

  • Information Apple or Google retains about purchases (outside our control)
  • De-identified or aggregated analytics that cannot reasonably be linked to you
  • Data we are legally required to keep (e.g. under tax or regulatory rules), for the minimum period required
